Fiestas Patrias

This year was different, we use to make a great "asado" and a family celebration with the same group of my mothers friends but they decided to postpone our tradition for the end of september, so each family could make the plans that they wanted if they even wanted to leave the city that week.
On september 16, the day I came to Los Andes we had another family celebration with people we also meet every fiestas patrias, it was cool, I ate everything I could because I really love asados, my favorite things in life I think are meet and salads that's why a I was happy even because of the food. These friends of my parents live in the countryside, they have a farm with vines and together we went around the place with their dogs, we went to the dam and then we came back to the home, had some typical drinks and danced cueca with the whole family.
The next day we came to tía Sandra's, she's a good friend from my mom who invite us every fiestas patrias too. It was a quiet meal but the best thing is that they own butcher shops, so the meat was so good that I also got excited just about the food.
In the night I went to a party, the same as my brother, it was the typical party from my little town but I actually had 18's september fun.

Amsterdam Centraal

Amsterdam Centraal A building I like and had the chance to see is the Amsterdam Railway Station (or Amsterdam Centraal, in Dutch).  It is a big and grand old building, the first thing you see when you come by train, apart form the port and the lot of ships, and you say, "wow, I am finally in Amsterdam!".  Amsterdam is a beautiful city  with a lot of historical architecture, there are so many places to visit, historical museums, fabrics, the national library, you can also cross the city on foot or in a bike tour.  The railway was designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers, who also designed the  Rijksmuseum in the same city,  and first opened in 1889. It features a  Gothic / Renaissance Revival  station building. The Rijksmuseum Since 1997, the station building, underground passages, metro station and the surrounding area have been undergoing major reconstruction and renovation works to accommodat...

The Future

Today I'll try to imagine how would be me and our wolrd in a couple of years.  To start, I´ll say maybe I'll be living in another country, I don't know where but it would be nice to live in Finnland. I think I'll be working as an architect or as a teacher in some good university... Every time I think about leaving Chile I would prefer to bring my family with me, my parents and brother. But if this, for any reason  is not possible I think I wouldn't do it alone, unlees not for ever. So I imagine myself having my own family, my husband and children. I think they would learn a lot belonging to more than one culture.  Of course I'll have finished my studies and this will be a really important achievement in this part of my life. So I'll have got my first job and I'll be great speaking english or more languages.  All what I've writed are just dreams maybe my life becomes in something totaly different or maybe it surpris...

An Ambition

One of my ambitions would be to own a coffee and a restaurant in the city I was born, Iquique. I really want to achieve that to work with my parents in the same place and sell typical Chilean food from all different regions. What inspires this ambition is that my family has a northern origin. To satisfy it, I’d like to recognize that the north has a variety of unknown meals and we could create a menu that shows this interesting part of the culture. Also in this type of business you meet people from many places, foreigners, people from your own country and friends from the city who visit you and want support your enterprise. I think that with my architecture studies I’d be able to design interesting places that pose a different relation to serve the clients. In Iquique, the presence of the beach and the dunes, as well as the warm weather, sunny days and a fresh wind, allow us to think of places open to the city, to the outside and to the passerby. For the location of my coffee I’ve b...
