Amiwa

Hey! Today I'm going to write about a good friend I met in FAU, her name is Florencia and we met for the first time in the second day of "alianzas". Since then we spend the time in FAU and work in groups together.
In our first year we were a group of three that was the whole time together, then we started knowing more people and we hadn't always the same classes anymore. Anyway, I love them both.
Here is a photo in an exhibition of her painting course and her painting.
So, I know Flo since almost two years, it is not that much for a friendship but I know this is a real one, she's a really valuable person, so kind and sweet that everyone who meet her, finds her an awesome girl.
We started being closer when once she invited me to "live" together in her sister's apartament for a week because she went on holiday. Flo did that because the last year I lived in my house in Los Andes and had to come everyday to Santiago, she knows this is exhausting because she's from San Felipe, a city located 15 minutes from Los Andes.
I consider her one of my best friends, we have fun together and also can work for the university... We have things in common but couldn't say what do we actually do that make us friends. I just like spending time with her, hanging out or staying at home watching movies, eating a lot o just talking about everything. It funny when her boyfriend is with us (the most of the time), because a look like a little daughter I also like him and it's cool to be with them because they drive me and feed me.
I'd like to mention that she's "seca" in many aspects, she has many skills and sensitivity for what we do in our career and also for the art, she paints really well and loves to do it. I'm grateful to have a friend like her and hope everyone had such good people by their side.

Amsterdam Centraal

Amsterdam Centraal A building I like and had the chance to see is the Amsterdam Railway Station (or Amsterdam Centraal, in Dutch).  It is a big and grand old building, the first thing you see when you come by train, apart form the port and the lot of ships, and you say, "wow, I am finally in Amsterdam!".  Amsterdam is a beautiful city  with a lot of historical architecture, there are so many places to visit, historical museums, fabrics, the national library, you can also cross the city on foot or in a bike tour.  The railway was designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers, who also designed the  Rijksmuseum in the same city,  and first opened in 1889. It features a  Gothic / Renaissance Revival  station building. The Rijksmuseum Since 1997, the station building, underground passages, metro station and the surrounding area have been undergoing major reconstruction and renovation works to accommodat...

The Future

Today I'll try to imagine how would be me and our wolrd in a couple of years.  To start, I´ll say maybe I'll be living in another country, I don't know where but it would be nice to live in Finnland. I think I'll be working as an architect or as a teacher in some good university... Every time I think about leaving Chile I would prefer to bring my family with me, my parents and brother. But if this, for any reason  is not possible I think I wouldn't do it alone, unlees not for ever. So I imagine myself having my own family, my husband and children. I think they would learn a lot belonging to more than one culture.  Of course I'll have finished my studies and this will be a really important achievement in this part of my life. So I'll have got my first job and I'll be great speaking english or more languages.  All what I've writed are just dreams maybe my life becomes in something totaly different or maybe it surpris...

An Ambition

One of my ambitions would be to own a coffee and a restaurant in the city I was born, Iquique. I really want to achieve that to work with my parents in the same place and sell typical Chilean food from all different regions. What inspires this ambition is that my family has a northern origin. To satisfy it, I’d like to recognize that the north has a variety of unknown meals and we could create a menu that shows this interesting part of the culture. Also in this type of business you meet people from many places, foreigners, people from your own country and friends from the city who visit you and want support your enterprise. I think that with my architecture studies I’d be able to design interesting places that pose a different relation to serve the clients. In Iquique, the presence of the beach and the dunes, as well as the warm weather, sunny days and a fresh wind, allow us to think of places open to the city, to the outside and to the passerby. For the location of my coffee I’ve b...
